Matthew Nadeau and Aaron Peever serve up sketch comedy, improv, and hilarity. More importantly, do they actually serve free beer?
Should you see it?
Sadly, there is no free beer. Or even any beer at all. Disappointing as that may be, these Palcoholics definitely bring the party with their sketch comedy. As a team, they’re at their best when improvising. The funniest bit involves Nadeau posing as Peever’s Portuguese movie critic uncle. He then improvises plot summaries and reviews for multiple films. Honestly, I would have gladly watched a full hour of that.
The sketches were funny, but some seemed to go on just a touch too long past the punchline. Highlights include a radio interview with the lamest roadie in the world, two guys cruising for chicks in the saddest way possible and Nadeau’s impression of a dog. The friendship between Nadeau and Peever is obvious in all of the sketches; these are two talented friends having a fun time on stage. From the laughter erupting around me, it sounded like the audience was also enjoying themselves. I sure know I was!
