The popular and dynamic duo, Peter N’ Chris are back in Peter N’ Chris presents: Here Lies Chris, another high energy, yet minimalistic show bridging cleverly stupid ideas with comedic genius to produce and stage an epic hour of theatre.
Without giving away too many details or spoilers, in Here Lies Chris, Peter accidently kills Chris and decides to travel through multiple universes to find an alternate Chris to bring back to his own universe. Hilarity obviously ensues.
Peter and Chris have this amazing chemistry between the two of them and they can do anything on stage and make it funny. Right off the top of the show they do a very energetic air drum duet to Fun’s Some Nights that is so ridiculous that it’s side-splittingly funny. These two don’t use props, they don’t use any sort of set, they just use their bodies and their actions to create a world that each audience member gets to experience differently and independently.
By not using any sort of props or set it means that every single action and movement that Peter and Chris do needs to be deliberate and intentional to drive home what’s actually happening, and they do it flawlessly.
This has been the third Peter and Chris show that I have seen in my years of attending Fringe Festivals and each and every one of them is hilarious from start to finish. I don’t know how many ways I can say that Peter and Chris are just pure brilliance when they’re on stage together. These two could spend the entire hour on stage cross-stitching a quilt and they would still find a way to make it one of the best hours one can enjoy at a Fringe Festival.
This is a show that should be selling out every single show. It’s a show that not only are we, the audience, having the times of our lives, but so are Peter and Chris on stage and it translates into a good time for everybody.
Simon’s 2 Cents: You’re going to walk in with a smirk and leave with a smile.
